The Sims 3 errors in your dxdiag are not really specific enough to troubleshoot without more information. Still, if you'd like to do some hardware monitoring to see how your system handles the game overall, let me know. It's difficult to be sure this has happened, even with monitoring tools: the chip might be perfectly fine managing a 96% workload or whatever, and then some spike of commands overwhelms it and causes a crash, but the load barely seems to change when you look at the monitoring app. When the workload gets too high, the game can crash for what seems like no reason at all. An Intel HD 640 is decent but not all that fast even by the standards of integrated chips, and Sims 3's most demanding packs (Pets, Seasons, then Isla Paradiso and Into the Future) may be more than it can handle. What is probably more of an issue is your graphics chip. ![]() Playing in Windows via Bootcamp doesn't generally seem to have any adverse effects: I and several other people I know of have been doing so for quite a while without much trouble. Thanks for the dxdiag it does make things easier. ![]()
